Title: Semiconductor Device Characterization Engineer

    • Provide electronic test engineering and electronic design support for a semiconductor wafer engineering laboratory
    • Design wafer level test structures for advanced electronic integrated circuits
    • Apply knowledge of device physics and VLSI electrical engineering principles to solve highly technical engineering problems
    • Develops complex electronic characterization systems and hardware using state-of-the-arts approaches and measurement techniques
    • Design microelectronic structures for advanced integrated circuits
    • Plan and execute characterization development activities for semiconductor micro- and nano- technologies
    • Solve a wide range of complex engineering problems related to all semiconductor processes
    • Formulate and define device characterization specifications and guidelines for advanced fabrication processes
    • Analyzes wafer electrical parameter data, providing interpretation and judgment requiring extensive knowledge of device physics and electrical engineering principles
    • Develop and evaluate policies and procedures for the laboratory
    • Stay informed of new developments and technologies of new developments and technologies by reading journals and other pertinent publication, maintain contact with vendors and participating in professional organizations, meeting and seminars
    • Familiar with semiconductor device modeling
    • Experience in C, script and database programming is a plus
    • Work independently with little direction / supervision
    • Mentor junior engineering staff

    • Bachelors of Science Electrical Engineering or Physics
    • 5 + years experience with thorough knowledge of device physics and VLSI electrical engineering principles
    • Working knowledge of electronics semiconductor test equipment, CAD tools and other engineering software
    • Previous ESD experience a plus
