    Travel: 50% (occasional international travel)


    • Assist customers and sales team with technical questions and issues related to the sales of the company’s products. Customer could include installers, distributors, EPC, utility, independent engineers, consultants, financial lenders or analysts, etc.
    • Help the sales team win business by convincing customer to select specify product for their applications.
    • Work with utility inspectors, engineers and various authorities-having-juris dictation to convince them to specify and/or/approve the use of the company’s products
    • Communicate with customers via telephone; direct inquires to appropriate sales team members, distribution and installation partners
    • Identify technical shortcomings, flaws and area for improvement in products. Work with engineering, quality and service organizations to rectify problems found and improve products
    • Assist customers with technical drawings and permit applications. Review and edit as necessary
    • Edit, review and generate product support documentation (single-line drawings, technical notes, white papers, product manuals, training presentations, etc.)
    • Develop tools to assist with product selection and specification (string sizing tools, wire/conduit sizing calculators, voltage drop calculators, etc.)
    • Travel to customer meetings and various events when technical product expertise and assistance is required by the sales team
    • Perform technical product training at locations throughout North America as coordinated by the sales team.

    • BSEE or equivalent education or experience
    • 4 years experience in PV power inverters preferred
    • Ability to travel throughout North America
    • Excellent communication, telephone, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written and follow up
    • Proficient typing skills and use of computer applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, ACAD, specialized electrical software tools, etc.)
    • Understanding of North American utility systems and interconnection requirements
    • Thorough understanding of UL1741, IEEE-1547, and the NEC as related to renewable generation equipment
    • Use sales force interface to enter customer information, research customer accounts and assign tasks to sales & marketing team
    • Self=motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with a strict attention to detail
    • Ability to follow up on open tasks and commitments in a timely manner
    • Fluent in both written and spoken English, Spanish or Italian beneficial
    • Must possess US Passport
    • Must have a positive driving record
