Title: IT Technology Development Engineer

    Location: Los Angeles, CA

    Reports to: Director of Engineering

    Travel: Light


    • Participate in new technology development, from concept to high volume manufacturing
    • Design novel device structures to meet existing or future IC product requirements
    • Performs process and device simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools
    • Plan and execute Design of Experiment for the device and platform development
    • Work across functional teams such as IC design, device characterization, packaging EDA/PDK, reliability and wafer manufacturing
    • Develop new or enhance ESD solutions and assist in their PDK implementation
    • Design test masks using Cadence layout software
    • Design and validate PCM structures, analyze data and define test limits
    • Characterize ICs, devices, test structure on test bench
    • Coordinate engineering reliability and platform qualification planning and executions

    • Good understanding of device physics, fabrication processes and device structures of CMOS, DMOS and bipolar
    • Good TCAD skills
    • Good understanding of the interactions between fabrication processing and device behavior
    • Track record in IC technology development
    • Working knowledge of assembly, packaging and wafer manufacturing is highly desirable
    • Working knowledge of statistical analysis software; JMP
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Good problem solving abilities for root cause analysis
    • Good project management skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Hands on IC design experience a plus
    • Previous ESD experience a plus

    MS in EE or Physics with at least 5 years or PhD in EE or Physics with at least 3 years’ experience in IC/device
